The Virginia Florist

The Virginia Florist was a beautiful shop with both standard floral bouquets and an eclectic collection of gifts (I really liked the hand-stitched needlepoint products which are difficult to find elsewhere) that would suit anyone. However, as much as I loved the gifts, I also loved the staff--two helpful and extremely well-mannered young women (Kate and Fiona) that took an interest in me as soon as I walked in the store. Overall, I give The Virginia Florist 5 stars and I look forward to returning to it.

I ordered 3 arrangements for a cocktail party and the design, price and customer service were excellent. The arrangements were to be delivered during an oppressive heatwave ( temps 100 degrees and above) and the florist’s staff contacted me to insure that someone would be home to accept delivery because they didn’t want to leave arrangements on my front porch. I will definitely use Virginia Florists for all my floral needs.

I was searching for a florist to assist with a very specific order, and after contacting many places, I called The Virginia Florist. They were incredibly helpful throughout the process. I spoke with Anne, who was amazing, and then with Kendall, who was just as helpful and attentive to every detail. As an executive assistant tasked with finding local florists for my executives to send flowers to friends, family, and colleagues, it can be daunting and sometimes overwhelming to find reliable vendors who understand the importance of quality and service. When you encounter outstanding people like Anne and Kendall, you take note and want to use them for future purchases. Their professionalism and warmth made the experience not only stress-free but truly enjoyable. Thank you again, Anne and Kendall, for making this a great experience and for going above and beyond to help with my order.

Update: Kendall followed up to my email and made things right by delivering a replacement bouquet. I thank them for the follow-up and replacement the following day. Purchased flowers for someone’s birthday and selected the “Deluxe” option for more premium flowers. While the flowers are nice the overall bouquet does not look like the picture and we had at least 2 flowers broken. I’m happy to support a business on Small Business Saturday, but next time will consider purchasing flowers at another retail location or online.

The Virginia Florist did such an amazing job with the flowers for my daughter’s wedding! Everything from the bride’s bouquet to the reception centerpieces were stunning. Kendall was terrific to work with and put a lot of effort into making everything perfect for the big day. She was prompt and accurate with the proposal details and met with us twice to refine the style we were hoping to achieve. She happily answered numerous questions and was always willing to spend time talking with us. It was an autumn wedding and we wanted flowers that were seasonal and bridal rather than just looking like fall decor. Kendall delivered exactly what we hoped for. Thank you!! I definitely recommend her and The Virginia Florist for special occasion floral styling.
